Product Features & Benefits
- Heavy-duty formula with a high concentration of graphite
- Forms a slick, non-stick coating ideal for areas prone to material buildup
- Ultra-fine dry-film particles create a smooth, uniform surface
- Helps reduce mechanical wear and extend equipment service life
- Maintains lubricity across extreme temperature conditions
- Dry coating will not attract or retain dirt, grit, or debris that cause premature wear
- Hydrophobic graphite repels moisture, rain, and snow
- Made from natural graphite, an environmentally safe lubricant
Application & Surface Preparation
- Prepare surfaces as you would for paint application unless otherwise specified
- Surface must be clean, dry, and free of oil or debris
- Can be applied over select primers to enhance corrosion resistance; verify compatibility with the primer manufacturer
- Bonds to clean metal, wood, and most plastics including acrylics and polyethylene/polypropylene
- Testing on plastics is recommended before full application
Cleanup Instructions
- Clean brushes or spray equipment with paint thinner, VM&P naphtha, or similar solvents while coating is still wet
- Once cured, the coating becomes extremely difficult to remove
General Information
- Dry-film lubricants are applied wet and cure into a durable solid lubricant coating
- Typically applied by brush, spray gun, or aerosol
- Graphite’s natural hydrophobic properties allow water to shed easily from coated surfaces
Why Choose Graphite-Based Dry Film Lubricants
- Dry coating prevents buildup of dust, sand, grit, and debris that increase friction and wear
- Provides reliable friction reduction across temperatures ranging from 75°F to 400°F
- Performs consistently in wet, snowy, and outdoor environments
- Environmentally responsible alternative to petroleum-based wet lubricants
Wet Film Thickness
- Aerosol: less than 1 mil
- Bulk (No. 1): approximately 5–7 mils
Also sold in individual 1qt and 1 gallon quantities!
